As with the Structures gallery, this is a collection of old photos, polished up and displayed online. The grouping similarity with these is nature.[Click to continue]
As I start going through my old photos to prepare them for this site, I’ll start posting them in some kind of grouping as I get twenty, or so, ready for presentation. These ones are grouped as structures of some type (it’s a loose definition :-).[Click to continue]
is made up of (except for two) “experiments” with otherwise marginal to bad shots. These are a mixture of Pentax KP and iPhone XS Max images that didn’t make the grade so they become lab experiments. A couple, however, were purposefully taken so I could experiment with the heavy clouds and see if I could make ominous clouds look even extra-ominous. I think it’s the last two.
comes from the summer of 2019 and Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Virginia. All photos were taken with a Pentax KP and a 77mm prime lens. Meadowlark has a section of wildflowers with paths mowed through the thick of them. The butterflies and bees are thick as they feast on this pollen honeypot.[Click to continue]
images will continue to grow as I work with color images already on this site in converting them to monochrome where it works. Most of these are iPhone shots with a growing number of Pentax KP created shots.[Click to continue]
are collected from the past few years. I used a Pentax KP in most and a few are iPhone shots. The Pentax KP images were 3-shot bracketing exposures and then converted to HDR images in Lightroom CC.[Click to continue]
from the Meadowlard Gardens 2019 Winter Walk of Lights. I used a PentaxKP and experimented with f/18 and f/22 exposures. Since it was night, these shots took upwards of 30 seconds. I also did 3-shot bracketing and then created these HDR images in Lightroom CC. There were a lot more shots, but loose tensioners on my tripod camera mount caused most shots to be out-of-focus as the camera every so slowly crept downward while doing 30 second exposures.[Click to continue]
