Gallery: Wild or Free

This gallery is another composed of a collection of older images taken of wildlife over the years. The horses are from Chincoteague and the rest are from a safari “zoo” where the animals are free-range and the humans are kept caged in a bus when touring the property. Ironically, the horses are probably more tame than the “zoo” animals.

Gallery: A slight dusting

Ok, we’re going mono-macro on this one. These shots I took tears ago are macros of just the ever-so-slightest dusting of snow. Sadly it wasn’t big flakes type snow, but the little corn-nut snow gravel one gets when it’s sub-freezing temps. After the first shot, the others look like the same shot, just re-processed. But, no, I took six separate shots of the same blade of grass and never once got it focused correctly.

Gallery: Sun and Stem

This gallery is a combo of two shoots that seemed to need to be separate from the Nature galleries. First is a series of shots over a few days (cloudy, sunny, sunrise) along a bay in Chincoteague, VA. The last three are cherry blossoms from Washington D.C. Experimenting here with color in the post-processing.

Gallery: Ocean moods

While this is not a long-worded, breathless ode to the sea and its many moods, it is a gallery of shots I’ve taken over the years along the eastern shore. From peaceful zen afternoons to angry, muddy, windy violence, these are a few shots I’ve picked to represent these coastal moments. The last shot is more of ocean indigestion *burp* than a mood.
